This is the first North American release for the German band Beborn Beton, and also serves as a Best-of release for the band, containing tracks from the album Tybalt to the most recent Fake album. I've heard Beborn Beton's material before, on the Truth and Fake albums. I've never been too terribly drawn into their material, but this is a best-of after all...

The first disc starts off very well, with my personal favorite BB track, "Another World". Lyrically, the song's chorus is somewhat strange, but incredibly infectious. "Deeper Than The Usual Feeling" is another very excellent track, somewhat dancey yet with lyrical content that it's really easy to identify with, just like a later song on the album, "Peach". "Spawn" is a track that I found very addictive, but I'm still not sure to this day I've figured out exactly the message of the song. As I understand it, the track is in someway talking about what attitudes we pass on to succeeding generations.. but I could be wrong. "Elaine" closes out the first disc, and is another very powerful, emotional track that I really enjoy. As for the other tracks on the disc, well.... None of them really stand out, to me. There are also some songs ("Poison", "New Born King") here I didn't like the first time around, and haven't improved with time.

The Remix disc features several tracks from "Ruckkehr Zum Eisplaneten", the recently released remix album, as well as some exclusive remixes. The remixers include some rather well-known names, such as Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk, Camouflage, and DJ RAM. The two remixes by DJ RAM (one being a remix that Synthphony had on the DJ RAM remix compilation) are particularly fun, both lively dance mixes that still preserve much of the original track. The other remixes are also enjoyable, especially the cut.rate.box remix of "Peach" and Spice remix of "Im Innern Einer Frau".

Overall, the collection is a very good overview of Beborn Beton's career. Most of the albums are well represented, and the band's most successful songs are here too. I guess the reason I've never been drawn into BB's work is due to the somewhat cold and monotone feeling that a lot of the vocals and music seem to have. It's really hard for me to nail it down. It's a very well put together collection, and I do enjoy it, but I don't find myself drawn to listen to it over and over again.
