Well, to be honest, the song "Curtains" was really my least favorite song from the album "The Crypt". However, "The King Of Everything" and "L.O.V.E." were both favorites from the album, so the single is still very enjoyable. The Ovation mix of "Curtains" puts the emphasis of the song on the electro-leaning synth sounds, and the heavy beat. More enjoyable than the original version, but I still just don't really care for the song too much. The remix of "L.O.V.E." is a remix in which most of the original song stays intact, with just a few elements expanded on or emphasized. I like it! The FJK mix contains a longer sample JFK's Christmas speech to Berlin, and along with a few extra synth flourishes, really makes the song even more compelling. Though I still don't care for the song, I think the Prelude to a Mix version here is my favorite. Mostly piano driven, with just a bit of backing synth. Pretty good.
I really don't like this Megablack single as much as the others, however the b-sides and the remixes thereof really redeem the single. If you liked either of the 2 b-side songs, the single is well worth it. Otherwise...
