I love this song!! 
This song was released only on a single with IRS records, after Red Flag left Enigma. It's been a hard-sought collectible by synthpop fans for a while, and I'm sure this was a welcome re-issue. After hearing the title track, I can easily tell why this cd single has been hard to come by. This song is so good, you'd have to be nuts to not want this cd single! 

This single finds Red Flag experimenting with more metallic sounding percussion, which personally I find really cool. Though none of the many remixes of "Machines" really stood out to me individually, I just really enjoyed each and every version of the song. The b-sides Rhytmik Vibrations, and Tekno Vibrations, are neat instrumentals. I wonder what a whole album of "Machines" type songs would have been like. Now that would have been cool. As a bonus, RF included a track here that wasn't on the original CD single, "Rescue (Razormaid Mix)". I personally really like all of the Razormaid mixes of Red Flag material, and this is no exception. 
Overall, this is a excellent, excellent Cd single. Highly recommended!!
