This was the first release of Alan Wilder's side project to Depeche Mode, Recoil. It's currently only available as an import here in the US. It's mostly really long synth instrumentals here on the first album. Alan began to experiment with vocalists on the next release, "Bloodline". A fair amount of Depeche Mode samples are used in this album. Though it's only 5 tracks long, it clocks in at 70 minutes of playing time. I like the piano part in the intro to the first track. This one makes good background music for studying, but I've never found it to be a good album to just sit back and listen to unless I was trying to settle doan and get some sleep.
