This is the second album for Wideband Network, the musical project of Casey Clark (Vocals/Co-Producer) and Caesar Filori (Producer). Wideband Network is so named because the two members of the band live thousands of miles apart, and collaborate mainly over the internet in the composition of all the music and songs. This album showcases the development and refinement that WBN's sound has undergone in the two years since the debut album, with even more diverse musical influences (Rap and Rock) coming into play and a excellent collection of both memorable and moving songs.

The development and progression is immediately evident on the album, as it opens with the title track which was also released on a mini-cd promo cd nearly 2 years ago. There's almost no real comparison here, as the album version of this track is so much more well developed and textured than the version on that promo was. The truly impressive thing about this album, however, is that the quality never drops off. "Ten Thousand Seconds" is quickly followed by "Grounded" and "Home Sweet Home" and continues on a high plateau for the rest of the album. Even the principle issue that bothered me about the debut album, that of a over-reliance on excessive repetition in the choruses of the songs, has been smoothed over and polished to the point where I no longer care how many times they repeat themselves - the songs are so good I don't care!

The bonus disc in the limited edition of the album includes two remixes of album tracks, a new Drum And Bass remix of "Orbit", and a exclusive song. The remix of "Just Like That" does a great job of bridging the Trance and Pop genres, leaving the pop sense of the original track intact, but blending in the spacey trance keys and a deep, deep bass line. The remix of "Home Sweet Home" casts the track in a more clubby atmosphere, but there are some elements of this track that I felt didn't work as well. It's a not a issue until about 6 minutes into the track, and therefore the good outweighs the bad, but NES-style synth noise at the end of the mix did really start to get irritating. I was surprisingly impressed by the DNB re-working of "Orbit" - I really loved this take on the song! "Chaos Factor" is another quality track, and a good way to close out the bonus disc.

Overall, what more can I say? Wideband Network has easily exceeded all my expectations and hopes for their second album. This is a wonderful, spectacular album with potential for very, very broad appeal and eversomuch worth your time and money. Highly Recommended!!
