Rollercoaster 23, no relation to Assemblage 23, is the band of Dave Sahanaja, Rene De Vries, Pieter Feddema, and Minco Eggersman. This EP was recorded & released in 1997, by Sally Forth Records based out of Holland. The music style presented here is primarily Trip-Hop Downtempo, but there's also elements of Drum & Bass that crop up in these 6 songs.

To be honest, it's a little odd to me to hear a trip-hop band with a male lead vocalist, as every band of this style I've come across previously was lead by a female vocalist. For the most part, these songs are quite enjoyable, very relaxing and groove-friendly. "Little Black Bat" is more harsh than I would have expected, with the vocals in the song fuzzed and processed far too much. Other than that one gripe, the EP is very enjoyable, and Certainly worth you giving it a listen!
