RSSR is the Atlanta, Georgia based band that has become one of the two musical outlets for MikeAllred following the cessation of his involvement in Eurovision. The other outlet is his self-named solo project. He's joined by Josh Kidd, who writes the majority of the songs and composes/plays the music. This demo consists of rough early versions of 4 of the tracks the band has put together, and provides a glimpse at what we can expect from RSSR in the future.

Since these tracks are still in demo form, some recording quality shortfalls are to be expected. I did have to crank it up a good bit to be able to hear everything clearly, but not to a uncomfortable level or anything like that. The vocals do seem to get most distant and less distinct the further into the disc you go, with "She Wants" being the clearest of the four songs vocally. Musically, the songs are lush for the most part, with some similarities to Eurovision, but with a little more of a atmospheric approach to the music. "Right Where You Want Me" and "Fallen" both seem to be the most promising of the songs offered here, but I think that they both could still use a good bit more polishing. Still, it sounds like Mike and Josh have meshed well, and it should be interesting to hear the final results of their work together.
